UCF commitment picks Terps

Apopka, Fla. linebacker Marvin Peoples was committed to Central Florida but decided to take one last official visit to make sure he was making the right choice. It's a good thing he did -- for himself and for his new ACC home.
"D'Qwell Jackson was my host as well as Chase Bullock at Maryland," said the 6-foot-1, 230-pounder, who will be a middle linebacker at Maryland. "It was a good visit and I think it's a better opportunity out there for me. I just wasn't as high on UCF anymore after seeing Maryland."

Peoples, who also had offers from programs like West Virginia, Kentucky and Ole Miss, got an odd greeting in Maryland.
"It was snowing," he said. "But that was cool, I'm not afraid of that. They tell me it doesn't snow there often anyhow. Maryland is just a great situation for me. I really liked the coaches, area and the players. I have a chance to do bigger things there."
Peoples is ranked as the No. 49 inside linebacker in the country. He runs a 4.67-second 40-yard dash at 230 pounds. He also boasts a 4.0 GPA and a 1,000 SAT.
