Birmingham (Ala.) Briarwood Christian quarterback Ben Craft can breathe a sigh of relief.
Offer No. 1, which came from UAB, has arrived.

"I was excited," Craft told Rivals.com. "UAB is a great place with a good coaching staff. Obviously, getting that first offer out of the way is a big deal."
Craft said UAB started pursuing him in earnest about "two months ago."
"They watched me some during the season," Craft said. "But really, when I sent over my highlight tape is when they really started giving me interest. I went to their junior day a few weeks ago and have been in contact with [quarterbacks coach Tyson Helton] ever since."
In addition to UAB, Craft said he also is hearing from programs such as Auburn, Mississippi State and Southern Miss. He visited Auburn on Wednesday, checked out the Bulldogs recently and will head to Southern Miss on April 9.
"I'm going to go back to Auburn sometime in April, and I'm also going back there to a camp," Craft said. "I feel pretty confident something is going to come from Southern Miss. When, is the question. I'm not really sure but I do feel like an offer will come."
As a junior, Craft accounted for about 3,000 total yards, more than 2,400 of which came through the air.
