Monteverde (Fla.) Monteverde Academy offensive tackle Abdul Bello is officially an Under Armour All-American. He accepted his invitation to the game during a jersey presentation at his school.
The 6-foot-5, 298-pound three-star said his selection to the game means a lot to him.
"It's awesome," said Bello, who committed to Florida State in July. "I feel very good about it and I'm very excited. It's a pretty special dream come true."
Bello said he is vaguely familiar with a few offensive lineman and looks forward to hopefully making new friends. He also looks forward to displaying his potential.
"I'm going to work very hard to bring out the best of me," he said. "I want to try and do very good. I'm looking forward to the game and I feel like I'm in great shape right now."
Bello said he is excited to play against great competition and hopes that brings out the best in him.
"I'm going to try and make myself look good against them," he said. "I never thought I'd be a part of this game because it's for big-time high school players."
Bello's commitment to the Seminoles remains solid and he's not looking at other schools.
"I only plan on taking one official visit," he said. "That's to Florida state, but I don't know when."
He continues to build his relationship with the Florida State staff.
"It's always good talking to the coaches," he said. "It's very good. I'm looking forward to going to one of their games because I haven't been to one yet. I've got my season going on but I think I'll be going to one of their last games."
Florida State's final three games are at Miami (Nov. 15), and then in Tallahassee for Boston College (Nov. 22) and Florida (Nov. 29).
Bello said he chose the Seminoles because he loved the school and town.
"I just felt good about everything," he said."I could see myself playing there."
He fell in love with Tallahassee during his visit to a camp this summer after working with Seminoles assistant Rick Trickett.
"I felt close to him," Bello said. "I felt a connection. And he was always pushing me to get better, which is what I wanted."
