UA Day One: Stock up, stock down

Recruiting wrap: Eichenberg is committed to Notre Dame.
Performance: One of the biggest surprises of the day was Eichenberg's performance in one-on-ones. He held up to bull-rushes and anchored well using his strong base. Eichenberg has very long arms and moved laterally well. He beat five-star Marlon Davidson on back-to-back reps in one-on-ones.
DB
Chauncey Gardner
Cocoa, Fla.; No. 35 in Rivals100
Recruiting wrap: Gardner is committed to Florida.
Performance: Gardner was one of the most vocal players on the field Tuesday and he also had the most success than any defensive back. He is a fantastic athlete and reads plays very quickly. Gardner came up with an excellent interception by jumping a curl route and tipping the ball to himself while staying in-bounds. His physicality was a major factor and helped him keep receivers in front of him.
DT
Rashan Gary
Paramus (N.J.) Catholic- No. 1 in Rivals100
Recruiting wrap: Michigan leads for Gary but Ole Miss, Auburn, USC, LSU and a few other schools have a shot at landing his commitment.
Performance: There's nowhere for Gary to move up the rankings but he would if he could. He came in with a target on his back and was still the most dominant player on the field. Gary won nearly all of his one-on-one reps and really affected the offense's play during team drills. He drove offensive linemen into the backfield and his violent hand techniques were too much for anybody to handle.
WR
Dionte Mullins
Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep; No. 165 in the Rivals250
Recruiting wrap: Mullins is committed to Miami.
Performance: Mullins didn't play his senior year but really had a great day of practice. He made plays on screen passes, slants and caught a couple of really impressive deep passes where he had to adjust while the ball was in the air. Mullins may not have run the crispest routes but he is super explosive and knows how to separate from defensive backs.
DE
Shane Simmons
Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha; No. 137 in Rivals250
Shane Simmons (DE-#34) had a great day, unstoppable off the edge. #UAAllAmerica @UAFootball
https://t.co/s3ig91hba6- Rivals.com (@Rivals) December 29, 2015
Recruiting wrap: Simmons is committed to Penn State.
Performance: Simmons is another long and lean defensive end who is a little light in the seat. He provided a consistent rush off the edge. Simmons was routinely able to dip his shoulder, get a short corner during one-on-ones, and came off the ball low and explosive.
LB
Rahshaun Smith
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy; No. 11 in Rivals100
Recruiting wrap: Smith will commit to Clemson, LSU or Auburn on Saturday during the Under Armour All-America Game.
Performance: Smith is so versatile and athletic that he can be effective as an inside or outside linebacker. Tuesday he played on the outside and did a very good job of stepping up to plug holes. Smith is very physical as well, which helped him shed a lot of blocks so he could run to make the tackle.
Stock Down
OT
Willie Allen
River Ridge (La.) John Curtis; No. 177 in Rivals250
Recruiting wrap: Allen has a top five of LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia and TCU.
Performance: Allen stayed on his heels in day one. He has a big frame, but he was overpowered and his pad level was high throughout practice. During one-on-ones he had a tough time handling the quickness off the edge.
QB
Matt Fink
Glendora, Calif.; three-star; No. 24 DQB
Recruiting wrap: Fink is committed to USC
Performance: Fink has the size and look of a big-time quarterback but his throws were all over the place on Tuesday. His arm strength is fine but most of his throws were either high, low, too long or behind his receivers. If Fink can adjust to the speed of his receivers he could salvage the opportunity.
DT
Benito Jones
Waynesboro (Miss.) Wayne County; No. 117 in Rivals250
Recruiting wrap: Jones is committed to Ole Miss
Performance: Jones had a nice first step, but the big guys in the middle of the offensive line were able to wash him out. His opponents were able to get their hands inside, get leverage and get the upper hand in matchups throughout day one.
DT
Ellison Jordan
Baltimore (Md.) Gilman School; four-star outside the Rivals250
Recruiting wrap: Jordan is committed to Penn State
Performance: Jordan is extremely fast off the line of scrimmage and he can get penetration but if he doesn't beat the offensive lineman right at the snap there isn't much he can do. He can get overpowered because he is so short and it's hard for his hand techniques to be effective. Jordan's second and third efforts weren't very effective.
OT
E.J. Price
Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer; No. 125 in Rivals250
Recruiting wrap: Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State and Georgia are the contenders for Price. A decision will likely come on or near National Signing Day.
Performance: Price is a big, strong offensive lineman that can move his feet well but has a habit of holding far too much. There were some plays where it looked like he just tackled the defensive lineman instead of trying to correctly block him. Price has a lot of potential but he has to improve his technique before he sees game action in college.
