LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The second day of practice for the Under Armour All-America Game are in the books and it was another day of hot temperatures and even hotter competition on the field.

PENN STATE

Penn State only has two committed players suited up and participating in the game but on Thursday both had great showings. Wade, the nation’s No. 1 ranked cornerback, was very physical during one-on-one drills, matching up with bigger wide receivers and more than holding his own. He is a controversial figure because of his size and ranking, but the Nittany Lions are getting a future star. Thorpe was also impressive in his own right, looking good while tossing defensive linemen aside during one-on-ones.

LSU

The Tigers have a very good recruiting class and the stars are shining bright so far this week in Orlando. Despite playing wide receiver instead of his natural position of safety, five-star JaCoby Stevens put on a show, catching multiple touchdowns during practice. He and LSU quarterback commit Myles Brennan had a nice chemistry, even though he and Stevens will be going head-to-head in practice in Baton Rouge for the next few years. Add in solid play from LSU safety commit Grant Delpit and the likelihood that the Tigers will nab a commitment from Phidarian Mathis between now and Signing Day and it’s a good time to be LSU.

ALABAMA

With so many commits on the field and so many players buzzing about the Tide off the field, it’s hard for them not to have a good day this week. The nation’s No. 1 wide receiver and Alabama commitment Jerry Jeudy continues to do his best Calvin Ridley impression and looks ready to step in and contribute early. On the offensive line Alex Leatherwood and Jedrick Wills have been dominant, with Leatherwood finishing off one-on-ones by tossing a defensive lineman into the ground. Add in a pick-six from commit Dylan Moses and a good day from major defensive end target LaBryan Ray and Alabama is rolling as usual.
