LOUISVILLE
It was a great day on the field for the Cardinals as versatile commit Russ Yeast lit it up during practice, making some of the event’s best defensive backs look silly with his moves in space. Yeast can play either offense or defense at the next level, but he looked special as an offensive player. On defense, recent commit CJ Avery continues to help his stock, and he made a few big plays during practice. Uncomitted four-star Breon Dixon also has the Cardinals in his final two and could be leaning toward the Cardinals with his announcement set for this weekend.
CLEMSON
The Tigers are loaded with talented commits in this year’s game, and on Tuesday Tee Higgins had onlookers buzzing about his play. The silky smooth wide receiver has drawn comparisons to current Tigers star Mike Williams, and Clemson fans should feel good about Higgins' potential to be his successor in the future. Uncommitted Rivals100 DB Xavier McKinney appears to be down to the Tigers and the Tide, and there are several signs pointing to Clemson gaining his commitment when he announces on Sunday.
AUBURN
Auburn fans always pay close attention to the all-star season because it’s often a time when they can see their commits’ stock on the rise. On Tuesday longtime Tigers pledge Calvin Ashley, currently ranked in the Rivals100, looked very good during practice. Fans should be encouraged about the toughness he showed on the day. Uncommitted defensive end Markaviest “Big Cat” Bryant spoke openly about his affinity for the Tigers during interviews, a big factor considering he’s announcing his commitment sometime next month. The icing on the cake for Auburn fans on Tuesday was the play of their kicker commit, Anders Carlson, who routinely made 50-yard field goals in practice.
