KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Day 3 of practice at the 2018 Under Armour All-America game is in the book and, aside from Wednesday’s walkthrough, tune-up time is over. The past three days of workouts provided more promise for some fan bases than it did for others, as the futures of many major programs were on display. Today, Rivals.com runs through a few of the college teams that should be pleased with how things unfolded.

Penn State signees have led the way in Orlando, as everything seems to be coming up Nittany Lions. Wide receiver Justin Shorter has been consistently great since workouts began on Sunday. Defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher was near dominant at times on Sunday and continues to impress, albeit to a lesser extent, on Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, running back Ricky Slade had one of the most impressive catches of the day on Monday. Jayson Oweh, who may commit to the Nittany Lions during Thursday’s game, also flashed during the first three days of workouts.

ALABAMA

The first few days of practice saw the Bama-bound duo of Xavier Williams and Quay Walker turn in standout performances. The play of Williams, an explosive wide receiver, was most encouraging, as the four-star prospect who has sometimes struggled with drops at past events put those concerns to rest as he showcased sure hands and caught nearly everything thrown in his direction. Walker looked to be one of the more explosive linebackers at the event and impressed despite playing an environment not made to showcase players at his position. Tide fans should be happy that their signees seem to be following a positive trajectory as they head toward Tuscaloosa.

AUBURN

Auburn signee Quindarious Monday had at least two interceptions on Day 2 and carried that momentum into the third day of workouts, which saw him be equally disruptive. The quarterback play was mediocre on a macro level but the Tigers’ Joey Gatewood continues to show the physical tools needed for greatness. Will he need to be molded in college? Sure, but his size and arm strength are both elite. That much has been abundantly clear in an all-star setting.

MIAMI

Delone Scaife

Offensive lineman Delone Scaife continues to be a force during UA All-America week. Monday’s workout saw him win most of his one-on-one reps, including a couple against Alabama-bound defensive lineman Stephon Wynn. And while he lacks a bit of length, it’s hard to argue with the results. Hurricane tight end signee Brevin Jordan had a nice Monday practice, making a number of impressive plays during one-on-one drills and the team session. His hands certainly won’t be an issue at the college level.

TEXAS

The good far outweighed the bad for the Longhorns’ class this week. D'Shawn Jamison was a standout in the defensive back group for most of the week. Tight end Malcolm Epps is an impressive physical specimen that stands 6-foot-6 and moves like a much smaller prospect. Epps shined in drills and during the 11-on-11 portion of Tuesday’s practice. And while safety B.J Foster struggled at times during the week, DeMarvion Overshown offset that with a steady week during which he used his length to make a number of impressive plays.
