Tyson claims new ACC offer

Safety Mike Tyson out of Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor pulled an offer not too long ago from the ACC. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder reflected on the scholarship and is looking ahead.
"Maryland offered a month or so ago," he said. "I like them, they are cool. I don't really know that much about them.

"One of their coaches came up to school the other day on Friday and they were just telling me to keep in contact and come up for a visit."
To date, Tyson hasn't visited any schools.
"I haven't set up any visits, but I'm trying to. I'm planning to take my visits in January more than likely."
With visits potentially coming soon, what does he hope to see?
"I just want to see the school, that's really about it and talk to the coaches."
This season, Tyson finished his career by earning player of the year honors on offense in the district as well as first team all-district defensive back.
Tyson posted eight interceptions, two forced fumble and 43 tackles on defense. He added 26 receptions for 600-yards and nine touchdowns including two returns taken back.
