Tyler set for visit

About three weeks ago NC State fans, players, and coaches figured that this weekend's matchup with Florida State might be for the conference championship. With those thoughts gone, it's still an important weekend because of players like DeMarcus Tyler, who will be in attendance.
DeMarcus Tyler is one of the few elite defensive line prospects in the state of North Carolina that has not committed yet, but don't expect him to pull the trigger any time soon.

"I'm not sure if I'm close to being ready to make a decision. I've said that NC State, North Carolina and Ohio State are my favorites for a while and that's the way things stand right now. I had listed Tennessee up higher, but now it's mostly those three. Things could change though.
"I'm really looking forward to the NC State visit this weekend. I'll be there for after the game and should have a good time. They're close by, but I think there's more to see on an official visit than just any official visit that you take. I can't wait to talk to Coach Amato and some of the players. I've played some of the younger guys there and it should be a good time."
Tyler has a massive frame at 6-foot-3 and is listed at a generous 315 pounds. With his footwork and strength he should be an early contributor for whoever he signs on with.
"I think most teams want me to come in as a defensive tackle because of my experience and natural ability there," said the lineman from Fayetteville (N.C.) E.E. Smith. "Some schools have told me that I'll start at defensive tackle but they might move me to the offensive guard spot if I show good ability there.
"I've got offers to NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State and Tennessee with some others too. I'll decide after my visits. Like I said, NC State is this weekend and I don't know other than that. This is where everything will start to get exciting."
