Tyler receives huge offer

It is never too early to report on one of the best players for the class of 2007, in running back, Marc Tyler (6-0, 215, 4.5) from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian. This talented athlete is racking up offers from a pretty impressive list of college football powerhouses. This junior running back just picked up his 11th offer and this one from one of the nation's most glorified programs.
"Coach (Charlie) Weis called my coach this morning and offered me a scholarship," Tyler said. "That made me feel pretty good coming from Coach Weis after all he has come from the NFL and he knows what he's talking about."

"USC, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Texas and Miami are schools that I really like," Tyler said. "I went to UCLA's game yesterday with my Dad (former UCLA Bruin, L.A. Ram and SF 49er Wendell Tyler) and my teammate Marshall Jones."
"The UCLA game was good, there was a much bigger crowd than I expected and they were energized," Tyler said. "After the game they were chanting 'Beat SC' and it was loud."
"UCLA's offense looked really good."
Tyler has been too other big college games in South Bend and Knoxville.
"South Bend was crazy," Tyler said. "They were playing the No. 1 team in the nation (USC) and ESPN Game Day was there."
"Tennessee loves people from California, especially when you go with the Clausen's," Tyler said. "You get treated like you're the mayor of the city."
Tyler could end up at the USC/UCLA game on December 3rd and may take in a Trojan practice over the holidays as they prepare for their bowl game.
Whoever lands Tyler will be getting a player who knows how to win. He has been on the varsity since his frosh year and he has only lost two games in three-year varsity career. Both of those games were during his freshman season. Tyler and company have rolled off 27 straight wins.
For the 2005 season, Tyler has racked up 1,339 yards and 20 touchdowns. As a receiver out of the backfield, Tyler has caught 19 passes for 298 yards and two more touchdowns.
On defense playing only spot duty, Tyler has 21 tackles.
