Twos company for Brown

Long Beach, Miss., junior Richie Brown is a little surprised he doesn't have more offers. That said, the talented inside linebacker is pretty happy about the two in his pocket, which have come from Mississippi State and Stanford.
The Bulldogs offered in February.

Stanford pulled the trigger two weeks ago.
"That is a heck of an offer," Brown said. "It would be tough academically [at Stanford], but I'm always up for a challenge. It's definitely a possibility."
Thus far, the 6-foot-2, 207-pound Brown has visited LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Southern Miss. Whom will he check out next?
"Me and my dad are just about to make a schedule," Brown said. "I'm probably going to Tennessee pretty soon for a camp. And I'm probably going to stop by Mississippi State and Ole Miss on the way up there. "
A Stanford trip may also be in the works.
"We're trying to fly there sometime in May," Brown said. "If we can't, there's also the possibility of waiting until one of my [official visits]."
In addition to the previously mentioned schools, Brown said he is hearing from Arkansas, Arkansas State and Miami.
"A lot of schools are jumping in right now," Brown said. "I've been getting a lot of messages and letters from different coaches. Miami has been getting in contact with me. They started about a month ago. I've talked to them a good bit. But I haven't made a visit yet. They haven't seen me yet. Usually when I go visit a school, that's when they start talking to me more. If I pass the eyeball test."
