Two will sign from Itawamba, one may wait

Two prospects from Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Miss., are expected to sign with Division 1 programs on Wednesday, the first day of the Junior College Signing Period, while another may wait a few additional days before making his decision official.
According to Itawamba C.C. Sports Information Director Will Kollmeyer, three-star punter Heath Hutchins (6-3, 215 pounds) signed his letter of intent with Mississippi State around noon (EST) today.

Three-star offensive tackle Trevor Newsom (6-8, 290) had not yet faxed his letter of intent to Southern Miss, but was expected to do so later in the afternoon. He committed to the Golden Eagles in October.
Meanwhile, Itawamba defensive end Pernell McPhee, the No. 3 ranked JUCO prospect in the country, will likely not sign his letter of intent on Wednesday, according to Kollmeyer. The 6-4, 270-pound McPhee returned to his home in Florida to consider his decision following an official visit to Georgia this past weekend.
McPhee committed to Mississippi State last summer, but has taken additional official visits to Kentucky (Nov. 7), Michigan (Dec. 5) and Georgia (Dec. 12). He was considering Mississippi State, Michigan and Georgia, but this week has started to receive increased interest from both Florida and Alabama. He is expected to take at least a few days to consider his options before signing his letter of intent.
