Two-way standout ready to blow up

Outside linebacker/tight end Royce Culp (6-5, 220, 4.8) from Imperial, Calif., has done a great job in the off-season getting ready for his all important senior season.
Due to UCLA freshman safety Christian Ramirez the once out of the way program known best as the school that produced former UCLA great and now NFL linebacker Robert Thomas is now getting D-I colleges to take notice.

"Royce is about to blow up on the recruiting scene," Imperial assistant coach Justin Hannon said. "He is up to 220 now and is going to flat out dominate this year."
"San Diego State will be at our first game and that told me that if he plays like he did at their camp, they will offer. Some of the other schools looking to see early film on him are Colorado, Arizona State, and Fresno State.
"His first choice is San Diego State though," Hannon said. "I believe Royce will have a handful to choose from, but if San Diego State offers I believe he will commit.
"Royce likes the Aztecs and Coach Bob Elliott really likes him. He keeps telling me to keep telling Royce San Diego State."
Culp will be a three-year starter on the defensive side of the ball when the season rolls around in the very near future and he started both ways during his junior year.
For his junior season, Culp racked up 79 tackles and had six sacks. As a sophomore, he had 56 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and one blocked field goal.
From his tight end position, Culp hauled 11 receptions for 104 yards and three touchdowns, while also being used as a devastating blocker.
As a junior Culp earned first-team all-league honors for his job on the defensive side of the ball.
Culp is also good in the classroom with a 3.3 GPA.
