Two-way standout having great year

Sleeper two-way standout Will Chandler (5-11, 175, 4.5) from Lake Balboa (Calif.) Birmingham is having an outstanding senior season on both sides of the ball and special teams.
As a corner Chandler has been the lockdown cover corner all winning teams have. He has racked up over 20 tackles, six pass deflections and five interceptions. He has brought back two of his picks back to the house for scores.

Chandler has been just as dangerous returning kickoffs. He has returned three for touchdowns and they were against three of the speedier teams in the state.
The teams are Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey and Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft all are known for their speed.
Chandler may have had more special team scores but their defense has become downright stingy of late allowing only one touchdown over the last three weeks so that severely limits his chances for more returns.
"Will is having a great season for us," Birmingham coach Ed Croson said. "He has 29 catches for 568 yards and six touchdowns. He is averaging almost 20 yards per catch. He is lightning quick and fast."
"UNLV, Nevada and Oregon State are recruiting him real hard," Croson said. "He is still on Washington's and Oregon's board."
"Will is a good leader, hard worker and very mature. He is having the kind of season you hope your seniors have.
"Someone is going to get fine player in Chandler," Croson said. "He has solid grades too."
