Two-Way Standout Favors Two

A standout both offensively and defensively, Dennis Savedge of Dendron (Va.) Surry County, has finished his camp tour with two leaders.
“I camped at Virginia this summer and liked what I saw up there. I would say that Stanford and Virginia are my top two right now," said the 6-foot-2 180-pound defensive back and wide receiver.

"I like Virginia because they have a good athletic program and the environment is good. And I like Stanford because they are a good academic school and they have a good athletic program as well."
Virginia Tech and Penn State are also showing a lot of interest in Savedge, along with his two favorites Virginia and Stanford. He recently went to Penn State for an unofficial visit. None of these schools have offered him a scholarship.
Savedge hasn’t decided where he’d like to take any of his official visits yet.
As a junior last year, Savedge used his 40-yard dash speed of 4.6 seconds to turn a few heads. He had 275 yards receiving, but displayed his skills best with his six interceptions in only five games on defense. With his play on the field he was awarded 1st team all-district as a defensive back, and second team all district as a wide receiver.
So when will Savedge make his college choice known?
"Hopefully, I will be able to make a decision before the end of the season."
