Two visits set for Georgia OL

Max Garcia is an offensive tackle prospect from Norcross High School in Georgia. Garcia, 6-5 and 275 pounds, says he is now down to three schools.
"I have pretty much narrowed it down to Vanderbilt, Clemson and Maryland," Garcia said. "They have all offered. I will visit Maryland (10-2) and Vandy (10-19) next month."

So what stands out about his final three?
"I really like the fact that Vandy is a program on the rise and I would love to be a part of that. I love coach (Robbie) Caldwell. I know they have a few guys headed there from my region.
"I like Clemson because it's not too far from home. I love my family and I want them to see me play as much as possible. Clemson is a good football team and they have a strong program. I like the academic support there and I could see myself going to Clemson. I also like coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Brad) Scott. I went there over the summer and really enjoyed it.
"(Former Norcross running back) D.J. Adams loves it up there at Maryland. He's red-shirting. We are pretty close and just talked the other day. I love the school of journalism there and the location is great, especially for getting an internship. I really like them and coach (Tom) Bratton. He always reminds me of their depth chart and I would have a chance at playing time at Maryland."
Is there a timetable for Garcia and his college decision?
"I think all three are pretty even. I will wait and make my decision after I visit all three campuses. I have been to a junior day at Vandy and a one day camp at Clemson and to their season opener against Middle Tennessee State. I have not been to Maryland yet. I just need to set up a visit to Clemson. I want to see all three campuses."
Garcia and his teammates at Norcross are off to an unexpected 1-2 start. They have been one of the Peach State's most dominant teams over the past few years.
"We won last week and beat Mill Creek 31-7. We are just making little mistakes and playing poor special teams. We played better this past week. We have North Gwinnett this week they are No. 2 in the state. This is a big game and it should set a tone for the season.
"I am playing pretty well and graded out at 80, 80 and 85. I have improved in my run blocking. I am getting off the ball my first step is quicker. It sets you up for the rest of the play."
