Two visits set for DeCoud

Austin DeCoud has helped his Redlands (Calif.) East Valley team to an undefeated season heading into the second round of playoffs and he's put up some impressive statistics as the two-star quarterback prepares for two visits in December.
DeCoud, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound pro-style quarterback, will visit Idaho the weekend of Dec. 10 and then UNLV the following weekend as he tries to figure out which situation is best for him.

Those are the two teams most involved with him at this point in his recruitment.
"That's it," DeCoud said. "Those are the two. I'm focused on those two schools. I'm waiting until after my visits to make a decision. I don't really know much about either school so I'm going to look into them and figure it out."
So far this season, DeCoud has thrown for 1,248 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions and rushed for 359 yards and nine scores.
DeCoud said two other programs are showing interest and might offer but so far he is only focused on Idaho and UNLV.
"The only two schools that maybe later on might offer are Fresno State and San Jose State," DeCoud said. "Other than that I haven't been getting any other vibes from other schools."
Redlands East Valley takes on Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., this weekend in the playoffs after defeating Norco last weekend, 20-15. It was a sloppy performance by his team, DeCoud said, but he added this week should be a much sharper showing.
"It pretty much came down to who played harder," DeCoud said of the win against Norco.
"We came back and capitalized off some mistakes. We can definitely play better. This is not how you want to play. We got it done but (this) week we'll be a better team."
