THE LATEST: Stephon Wright is one of the top 2019 defensive ends in the West and he had a terrific offseason, traveling the country to see schools of interest and getting a much better feel for his recruitment.

As his junior season continues, the Los Angeles Cathedral standout could be focused on two visits: Arizona State and Oklahoma.

So far, Wright has landed offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, San Jose State, Texas A&M, USC, Utah and Washington State.

New interest has also been coming in for the 2019 four-star standout who said he’s been in frequent contact with Notre Dame and that Clemson and Indiana have reached out as well.

RIVALS’ REACTION: The trip to Arizona State will be important as Wright continues to develop his relationship with the Sun Devils but going back to Oklahoma could be especially telling.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect was in Norman this summer when Bob Stoops surprisingly retired and Lincoln Riley was named coach. He is highly interested in the Sooners and has been for a long time.

The other non-Pac-12 school that Wright has kept close watch on is Texas A&M, especially since going there and having a great time with the coaching staff. That is definitely a school the 2019 recruit continues to have high on his list.

Then there is USC. Wright goes to high school near downtown Los Angeles, so only a few miles from the USC campus, he landed an offer from the Trojans this summer after working out at camp and there’s a good chance USC will remain high on his list as well.

As for where his recruitment stands, the Los Angeles Cathedral standout remains open but Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC have definitely captured his attention at this point.
