Two VA players looking to have big seasons

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus has two other players that continue to receive recruiting interest. According to Phoebus head coach Bill Dee both are showing solid improvement and could see their stock rise on the recruiting market.
Fullback Haroon Brown continues to hold offers from the MAC, but is receiving interest from ACC schools.

"A lot of people are looking at him," Dee said. "Though they ACC haven't offered yet, many schools there are looking at him. I think a lot of them like that he could be a solid linebacker prospect. He has great instincts and a nose for the ball.
"He has a lot of potential there particularly with his good frame at 5-foot-11, 240-pounds. He really just needs to gain more experience. He's only in his second year in our program and I think he's capable of a big season."
Meanwhile, fellow two-star teammate Dennis Mathis is getting some looks of his own.
"I think a lot of teams like what they see out of him," he said. "He holds offers from the MAC including Akron, Kent, Marshall and Ohio, but he had a big first scrimmage and is ready to be the cornerstone of our offense.
"I think a lot of other teams will notice him when the season comes around because in the scrimmage he was carrying people down the field. He also has a lot more confidence this season which is big."
