Two trips planned for Coppet

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star running back Fred Coppet currently claims offers from Boston College, Bowling Green, Indiana, and South Florida. The 5-foot-9, 176-pound back is planning trips to see a pair of those schools in July.
"I am going to Boston College and USF in July," Coppet said. "I am trying to go to USF at the beginning of next month. I plan to see Boston College at some point in mid-July.

"Those are two school that I have been talking to a lot," Coppet added.
With regards to Boston College, the South Florida running back has been dealing with his primary position coach on Frank Spaziani's staff.
"I really have been talking to Coach (Sean) Desai, the running backs coach," Coppet said. "He is pretty cool. He has told me that they need me and want me. He tells me about the things that I could do to get playing time up there. He also tells me about their offense and things they do with their running backs."
As for the in-state Bulls, Coppet is dealing with his primary position coach on Skip Holtz' staff.
"Coach (Larry) Scott has been talking to me," Coppet said. "He has told me about how they like me and need a back like me. He said I could have a big impact there and could be a big part of their offense."
Coppet, who rushed for 859 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior, isn't in a rush to make a decision.
"I am going to wait until I take all of my visits," Coppet said. "Then I will figure out where I want to go."
