Two teams standout for California S

One of the most interested parties in the stands last weekend at the UNC-Oklahoma game was Oceanside (Calif.) El Camino safety Reggie Grigsby Jr. That's because Grigsby flew all the way from California to be at the game.
"It was a really nice trip," Grigsby, who is 6-foot and 183 pounds, said. "I watched their walk-through practice, and I spent a lot of time with coach Stoops and Roy Williams."

There were several things that impressed Grigsby about his visit - namely Stoops.
"I couldn't believe that coach Stoops actually knew who I was," Grigsby said. "I didn't think he'd know who I was because he was busy getting ready for the game and since I was on an unofficial visit only. It was pretty shocking. He encouraged me to go over and listen to the coaches and here what they had to say as they went through the final details."
Grigsby was also impressed with Chuck Long, the Sooner assistant that is recruiting him.
"I really like him," Grigsby said. "He's really down to earth and honest. He told me the situation and told me exactly where I stand in their mind."
Grigsby still has scholarship offers from Colorado, Arizona State and San Diego State. He plans on catching the San Diego State-Arizona game on Saturday.
"I think it's going to be really tough to make a decision," Grigsby said. "I really liked what I saw at Oklahoma, but I also love Colorado. The coaches were great up there and the atmosphere was what I was looking for. I'm probably going to have to go back and see what it's like during a game weekend or for an official visit.
"I'm not saying that those two are the leaders, but they both look really good."
