Two team race for Blankenship

The general thinking has been that Monaca (Pa.) Center Area offensive lineman Evan Blankenship will ultimately decide between Pitt and Ohio. That remains likely and Blankenship says a decision will come sometime this summer.
"It's still mainly Pitt and Ohio State," Blankenship said. "I have offers from those two and Temple. That's my three offers."

But that could change depending on Blankenship's performance at various camps.
"I went to Notre Dame's camp June 3," he said. "I'll probably go to Michigan's camp sometime between June 19 and 21. I might get up to Boston College' camp. And I'm still going to Ohio State's camp June 23."
Blankenship has been to Ohio State and Pitt on more than one occassion.
"Those are still my two favorites," he said. "Not too much new has happened. If nothing changes it will probably come down to those two. I can't tell you who is in front."
But Blankenship can say when he plans to make a decision.
"I'll pick before my senior season starts," he said. "I definitely won't wait till after the season starts."
The 6-foot-3 and 310-pound Blankenship has been a target of the Panthers and Buckeyes for some time as both schools offered him a scholarship very early in the recruiting process.
Blankenship has been a varsity starter at offensive tackle since his freshman year, but will move to guard in college.
