Two-star DB impressed with trip to Ohio

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus cornerback DeNathian Robinson took his first official visit of the season last weekend to Ohio University. The 5-foot-10, 161-pounder had a solid trip to Athens.
"It was a good visit and I like the defense they run there because it's very similar to Phoebus's," he said. "I could tell I really fit in with the team.

"I got there on Friday and toured the campus and then hung out with my host Mark Parker. He was cool and he's from the 804, so we got along really well. He didn't pressure me into any kind of decision. Instead he just told me how the coaches and players are.
"On Saturday I took in all the academics and hung out with Mark some more. Finally, on Sunday I met up with coach Solich. He basically told me he didn't want to pressure me, but if somebody else commits they won't have enough slots."
Overall, the two-star prospect rated his trip an 8.5.
"It was fun and I really fit in," he said. "I just now have to make sure Ohio is where I want to go and so I have to compare it to Marshall this weekend. Right now, I have no leader."
What is Robinson hoping to see out in Huntington?
"Basically I'm looking to feel just as comfortable as I was at Ohio. I want to see that they are all about me," he said. "If everything is the same then Marshall might have the edge because they are a little closer."
The No. 19 player in Virginia confirmed he will not be taking any other officials. He expects a decision to be made around January 27th or 28th.
