Two standout for Palelei

Gonzales (La.) East Ascension three-star running back Sione Palelei continues to see the interest increase.
Joining a strong list of offers which already includes the likes of Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Utah, and BYU, has been increased Ole Miss, Arizona State, and Oklahoma State.

In the last few months he has had a chance to camp with both Oklahoma State and Ole Miss. Both coaching staffs left a positive impression on the 5-10, 190-pound back.
"It was great," Palelei said of his camp experience at Ole Miss. "I came in. I tested well and performed well. We had a meeting with some of the staff. We were going to get a meeting with the head coach but he had to leave early for some award so we didn't get that chance. But next time we come up there he wants me to come in and have a meeting with him. They like me."
"I tested well as I expected and did drills well and one-on-ones and seven-on-seven I performed pretty well," he said of Oklahoma State. "They liked me. They're only recruiting one back but they keep in touch. I call them and we talk and they like my film and everything."
Neither have extended an offer at this point, but both are showing significant interest and Palelei feels good about where those conversations are heading.
When it comes to favorites, Palelei has not been shy about putting the Arkansas Razorbacks at the top of his list, but Arkansas now has some company with Oklahoma State coming on strong.
"They both bring the same thing which is why I like them," Palelei said. "I'm comfortable with the staffs and everyone. They make me feel at home. I like the programs too. I'm really comfortable working with the staffs and the players there. They both feel like home."
That said, he has not made any cuts to his list of options, and does not plan to make a college decision until after his senior season.
