Two standout for California stud

Without a doubt one of the top linebackers in the entire nation is Lakewood, Calif., outside linebacker Luther Brown II.
Brown, who is 6-foot-1 and now 227 pounds, has already picked up scholarship offers from USC, Miami, Tennessee, UCLA, Notre Dame and quite a few more. But as with many elite kids in California, two teams have started to stand out.

“I really like USC and Miami,” Brown, who was his League Defensive Player of the Year and an All-State Underclass selection in 2003, said. “I don’t know if I have any plans to attend camps this summer, and I’ve not committed to anybody yet, but no question that USC and Miami standout.”
Brown racked up some impressive stats as a junior. He had 75 solo tackles, 36 assists, 11 pass break-ups, five tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
Physically Luther could walk in to a college and play right now,” Lakewood head coach Michael Christensen. “He's so talented and I can't wait to see him in a couple of years."
