Two standout early for TE Martin

Quite a few colleges are at least taking a look at Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton tight end Eric Martin. Both of the 6-foot-2, 236-pounder's favorites are already showing interest.
"I'm getting recruited by Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee are most of them. They all want me to come to camp," he said. "I can say that I grew up in Maryland and have been in Virginia most of my life, so I've always liked Maryland and Virginia Tech.

"I like those because of the location. They are really good programs and solid Division I programs everyone likes."
Although the Terps and Hokies stand out, what is Martin looking for in a college?
"I'd like to go to a good academic school and location is a big thing," he said. "I probably don't want to go much further than a couple states away for my parents. I'm also looking to go into business management, so that'll be a factor in my decision and then I just want a solid program."
Last season Martin registered 15 receptions for 210 yards and four touchdowns on his way to honorable mention all-area and first team all-district honors.
