Two stand out for McCarty

West Bakersfield (Calif.) running back Princeton McCarty and his Viking teammates have rolled off 10 straight wins after dropping the season opener to a very talented Clovis East squad. McCarty has had an excellent season and has two schools at the top of his list.
McCarty, 5-8, 160 pounds has rushed for 1,177 yards and 18 touchdowns averaging close to 10 yards a carry. He also has two kickoff returns, 90 and 98 yards, for touchdowns. The athlete is one of the fastest players in the state and clocked the top 40 time at the SoCal Nike camp with a 4.34 clocking to go with a 3.69 shuttle, 38 inch vertical leap and 13 reps on the bench and his 96.83 SPARQ Rating was also tops in the camp.

On the recruiting front, McCarty is still sitting on one offer and won't set up any of his visits until after his season is over.
"Idaho has offered and the only other school I'm really hearing from right now is Fresno State. They want to trip me in and I'll probably set both of those visits when our season is over. We're in the semi-finals right now so I'm just focusing on our season and then will turn to recruiting after we're done."
