Two-sport star has offers for both

One of the most productive wide receivers in San Diego County is also a very sought after baseball player. This player already has offers in both football and baseball.
If you’re a fan of both football and baseball than you better keep your eye on Jose Perez (6-0, 180, 4.57) from Oceanside, Calif.

Perez was selected 1st-team all-league, all-area, all-CIF and all-state as wide receiver. He was selected all-league and all-CIF as a center fielder for his exploits on the diamond.
On the gridiron Perez caught 62 passes for 1,209 yards and 12 touchdowns while averaging 19.5 yards per catch.
As a center fielder, Perez batted leadoff and he hit for an average of .400. Perez also hit two homeruns and had 25 stolen bases.
Perez is getting recruited for his baseball talents by SDSU, USC, UCI, ASU, Arizona, UNLV, and Hawai’i. The pro teams looking at Perez are the Arizona Diamond Backs, San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners.
SDSU and UNLV have offered Perez his baseball skills.
For his football proficiency, Perez is getting looks by Colorado, USC, Arizona, Hawai’i, New Mexico and SDSU.
Perez has football offers from Hawai’i, New Mexico and SDSU.
“I hope to play both sports in college,” Perez said.
The scouting report for his baseball skills is – Great speed and a great arm. He has some sock, but his strength is as a leadoff hitter. Good glove and covers a lot of ground in center field.
The scouting report for his football skills is – He runs great routes and excellent getting yards after the catch. Perez has great vision, he sees the whole field.
Perez is definitely one to watch this and this spring on the baseball diamond.
