Three favorites have emerged for Estero (Fla.) two-sport standout

Micah Rucker.
"Wake Forest is showing me the most interest, along with Pitt and Michigan
State," he said. "They've all been calling me at least once a week. Those are my
top three because they've all got good programs, football-wise and academically,
and they've all offered to let me play football and basketball. That's very
important to me in my decision because I've been playing basketball since I can
remember. I love both sports.
"Wake Forest probably has the edge right now because that's where I'm from. We
moved here when I was about 5. I've got a bunch of family up in Winston-Salem
(N.C.), a lot of aunts and uncles and cousins around there. The Wake Forest
coaches are trying to sell me on that being a great fit."
He also has offers from Clemson, South Carolina and Minnesota. The Golden
Gophers are the latest team to offer, doing so in a call last week. Florida is
also starting to show some interest and making calls.
Rucker (6-6, 190, 4.7) is a member of the

team and one of the South's
top-rated tight
ends. As a junior, he had 36 receptions for 600 yards and nine
touchdowns. He is also one of the Sunshine State's better forwards on the
basketball court, averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game as a
junior.
He's off to a strong start this fall, hauling in eight receptions for 100 yards
and one touchdown in Estero's first two games.
