Two schools lead for MD linebacker

Colleges are beginning to take notice of Atholton, Md. linebacker Geoffery Easterling. The interest has picked up after the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder posted 54 tackles, eight sacks and one interception as a junior.
"I've contacted coaches from Boston College and Kent State and they've invited me to their camps," he stated. "Duke and Lehigh are two other schools sending a lot of letters.

"I'm definitely going to camp at Boston College and Lehigh and Penn State is up in the air."
Do any of the colleges lead for the Maryland prospect?
"I like Penn State a lot," he said. "The campus is ridiculous. I also like Boston College. I've never been to the school, but I know the tradition is great and my whole family is from Massachusetts."
Easterling is looking for a few things out of his future home.
"First of all, I want a college that is highly thought of like Boston College or Lehigh," he said. "Those are high academic institutions and if you go there you're set for life. It's not just a scholarship, but will affect your life.
"Location isn't a major deciding factor for me. I do want a place I think I can start for two or three years. I'm fine with redshirting my first year."
