Two schools lead for Eskridge

Safety Van Eskridge isn't ready to make a decision, and he's still waiting to receive his first offer. But two schools may be close to extending scholarships, and several others are recruiting him harder than ever.
"South Carolina and Clemson are recruiting me a lot harder than they were a while ago," said Eskridge. "They've been sending me some signals that make me think they'll probably offer soon, or maybe after they see some film of my first couple of games this fall. I'm also being recruited by Georgia, Virginia Tech, NC State and Wake Forest."

Where did Eskridge camp this summer?
"I went to several schools," he said. "I camped at NC State, South Carolina, Wake Forest and Georgia. If I had to pick a couple of those that stood out the most it would be NC State and Georgia. The facilities were really nice and the people are intense and focused on making you better."
Expect to see the 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety from Shelby, North Carolina taking several official visits before making a decision.
"Hopefully I'll take some officials," he said. "I don't know where I'll go, but I'm pretty sure I will. I need to start thinking about some dates. My hands are kind of tied in terms of when I'll make a decision because I don't have offers yet. So hopefully I'll take some visits, get some offers and then be ready to decide. I'm prepared to wait it out for a while."
