LOS ANGELES - Five schools are standing out most to 2019 four-star offensive tackle Jonah Tauanu’u and official visits are going to be crucial in his decision.

USC, Oregon, Michigan, LSU and Washington look best early on.

“To start off, how I’m going to break it down, I’m going to take my visits and see how nice the campuses are and see if I’m comfortable where I’m at,” Tauanu’u said at the Premium Showcase last weekend.

“That’s pretty much the most important thing to me is being comfortable because I’m most likely going to be there for four years.”

The Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne laughed when he was asked if the Trojans would be tough to beat especially with teammate Raymond Scott signing with USC this recruiting cycle.

The four-star offensive lineman made it no secret that USC will be seriously considered as things move forward but others will as well.

“Everybody I talk to says that,” Tauanu’u said. “They even talk about Raymond going to USC. USC has been a dream school for me since I was eight years old but I’m still open to all my options.

“It’s the local school and most people think I’m going to stay local. It could be a possibility but I have to see where I’m most comfortable.”

Tauanu’u said USC and Oregon are recruiting him the hardest at this point. Texas, Florida, Florida State and Auburn are showing new interest.
