Two officials planned by Davis

During mid-July, Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson offensive tackle Kameron Davis accompanied a number of other South Florida prospects on visits to schools throughout the Southeast.
"We saw Georgia, Georgia State, South Carolina, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and I think that is all," Davis said.

The 6-foot-6, 286-pound offensive lineman came away particularly impressed, and surprised, by one of the SEC schools they made it on campus to.
"Vanderbilt stuck out because when I went on the trip there, the things that they showed me I really wasn't expecting," Davis said. "It is a really nice school with really nice facilities and great coaches. I wasn't really expecting that from Vanderbilt. They were the most impressive and surprised me."
"Other schools like Mississippi State, Mississippi, and Georgia were very nice schools too," Davis added.
Davis, who claims around 15 to 20 offers, is hoping to hit the road again before two-a-days start and check out another school.
"I think I am going to take one more unofficial visit before my season starts," Davis said. "I haven't made my decision what school I am going to yet."
Once the school year begins, he is aiming towards narrowing his options to a more manageable number.
"I really want to narrow it down either early in the school year or before the school year," Davis said. "I think I am going to narrow it down to about five schools."
After he has it narrowed down, he will set up his official visits. He gave an early indication with regards to two options he intends to check out in an official capacity.
"Then I am going to start setting up official visits," Davis said. "I know I definitely want to take an official visit to West Virginia and Louisville. Those are schools that I really want to go to visit and that I might go to for college."
While he mentioned the Mountaineers and Cardinals are likely visit destinations, he says they don't currently help to comprise his top schools at this time.
"I have no leaders, no favorites," Davis said.
As for a decision, Davis shared the timeline he is working with at this time.
"It will probably come during the season because I am trying to graduate in January," Davis said.
