Two offers on the board for Okpara

Sugarland (Texas) Fort Bend Dulles cornerback Ugo Okpara wasn't expected to sit idly by while his teammate Darryl Stonum picked up offers. So it's no surprise that his first offers are on the board.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder says that his first two offers are in hand early from Baylor and Virginia. Though far, the Cavaliers are definitely high on his list.

"Well both schools are nice schools even though they weren't at the top of my list to begin with," Okpara said. "I checked out Virginia yesterday on their website and I saw that they have a good medical program. I want to do pre-med, so that's real good. It's a good football program with good academics."
Oklahoma State is another school that is showing Okpara interest and has him thinking the Cowboys may be offering next. Texas Tech and Texas A&M are also giving him a lot of attention.
It's another Big 12 school that he's hoping to receive mail from.
"I like Oklahoma quite a bit," Okapara said. "That's who my eyes are on right now. They're probably my top school."
Okpara's first junior day visit was a few weeks ago to a junior day at Texas A&M. He has been trying to make others, but his track scheduled keeps his Saturdays busy.
"I'm not sure if I'm going to go to any others with the track season," Okpara said. "My best event is the open 400 meters. A 48.9 was my best time."
On the football field, he says that he could play safety or cornerback. Most schools are recruiting Okpara at the cornerback position, but he's open to either. He was an honorable mention all-district performer as a sophomore.
