Two offers for Simon

St. Petersburg (Fla.) Gibbs athlete Gary Simon can make a significant impact on offense or defense. The 6-foot-1, 177-pound prospect has already landed two BCS-level offers.
"USF and Iowa State are my only offers so far," Simon said. "USF offered me about two or three weeks ago and Iowa State had offered me at least a month ago."

In addition to the Bulls and the Cyclones, numerous other schools are keeping tabs on the Central Florida prospect.
"TCU, Florida, Florida State, and North Carolina are also showing me interest," Simon said.
At this point in his recruitment, Simon has yet to hit the road for any Junior Day trips or other unofficial visits.
"I haven't taken any trips yet," Simon said. "I don't know when I will be."
Simon, who predominantly plays wide receiver and defensive back, said that trend could continue at the next level but if a particular school wants him to focus on just one side of the ball that won't hurt them in the pursuit of his services.
"Most schools want me on both sides of the ball," Simon said. "It doesn't really matter to me where I play."
Early on in the process Simon is wide open with regards to a favorite.
"I don't have a leader at this point," Simon said.
