Safety C.J. Jones out of Olney (Md.) Good Counsel has fallen relatively under the radar despite a pair of Division I offers. The 6-foot-0, 195-pounder has been to one camp recently, and plans on trying to get out to a few more schools soon.
"We're still setting up visits for different colleges," he said. "Which ones we're visiting, I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking mostly about the colleges talking to me more, UMass, Duke, Delaware, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech."
Jones has visited Virginia, one of his two offers along with UMass, back at the end of June.
"I did really good when I went down there," he said. "I have an offer from them and I like the coaching staff and atmosphere. The team is very welcoming every time I'm down there and the academic program is really good. I like all of that about the school."
A number of other schools are also still in touch with Jones.
"A lot of schools want to see me play more man coverage," he said. "They want to see more of that than zone."
The two-star prospect claims no favorites, but is starting to push towards a decision.
"I'm not thinking about that now, but after I see a couple more colleges I think I may be able to narrow my decision down," he said.
So, what does he want in a school?
"When I visit colleges, mostly I'm looking at colleges I could see myself in for four years," he said. "If I could see myself in it for four years, that's a plus. Other than that, I'm looking for the atmosphere to fit in."
