Two offers for junior receiver

Yesterday was a big day forAndre Davis. It was his birthday and also the first day college football programs could officially offer juniors. The day came and went for this wide receiver prospect from Tampa Jefferson. There were no offers for Davis. Sure he was disappointed but Davis knew his day would come. Well, he didn't have to wait for long, as today he received two scholarship offers.
"Florida State and FIU (Florida International) both offered me today," Davis said. "FSU sent it (offer letter) to my grandmother's house and I didn't get it until after school FIU sent it to my school and I got it from my coach.

"I have to say it feels good and is somewhat of a relief. But I felt like I would get some soon. But it does feel pretty good."
Davis, 6-1 and 180 pounds, recently camped at Seminole Showtime, the Florida State Showcase camp in July. There, he drew rave reviews for his performance in front of the Seminole coaching staff.
"I did do well there and I think I really caught the attention of the coaching staff. I kind of felt like they liked me. I do like Florida State. They invited me to their game on Monday against Miami. I would really like to make it but my parents have to work. I am going to try and make it up there another time."
Davis, who is being pursued by many teams, has a current childhood favorite. He grew up a Hurricane fan and says that despite the FSU offer, 'the 'Canes are still the team to beat.
"They are. But at the same time I am so happy to get that offer from Florida State. You never know what can happen."
