Two offers for 2013 QB

After an undefeated, championship season, Brendan Marshall wants to make sure there is no drop off next season. The Olney (Md.) Good Counsel quarterback says there are a few things he needs to work on to make sure they are on top again after next season.
"I want to work on my pocket presence, being aware of what's around me and my overall speed," he said. "As the quarterback I tried to be a leader but on a team with a ton of great players who have been there longer, the leadership role didn't fall on any one person. I really tried to step up in the payoffs because that's the most important time of the year."

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback currently has offers from Cal and Virginia and is drawing interest from Wake Forest, Rutgers and Boston College.
"I really liked my visit to Virginia for the game against Virginia Tech," said Marshall. "If I have a favorite right now it would probably be Virginia. I don't know much about some of the other schools, but I want to visit Cal, Rutgers, Boston College and Wake Forest. I haven't set a date yet."
Marshall knows what he is looking for when making his decision on where to play at the collegiate level.
"I'm going to go to a school with great academics," Marshall said. "My parents and I are looking for a great football program with a formal staff that takes an interest in me, so I can excel on and off the field. My coaches feel that way as well and they always want to see their players do well at the next level."
