A pair of offers have come in for Philadelphia (Pa.) West Catholic offensive tackle Jaryd Jones-Smith. The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder claims a hometown school and an offer from out West.
"I picked up offers from Arizona and Temple two weeks ago, during the same week," he said. "It was just a great feeling and I hope to get more offers by the end of my senior year."
Jones-Smith reflected on the two scholarships.

"I don't know that much about Arizona. I know they have a good football team, but that's about it. They want me to play defense and they are very impressed with me," he said. "Temple, I like the atmosphere and the students, everybody is like family there."
Jones-Smith is receiving looks from many other colleges including Penn State, Pittsburgh, Arizona State, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Wisconsin and Ohio.
"Most of them want to see my highlight tape and they want me to come to their camps," he said. "I plan on visiting some of the schools coming up in late March and April. I'm not sure where I'm going at this point."
Recently Jones-Smith attended Penn State's junior day.
"It was good," he said. "They said they were impressed and really excited about me, but they want me to come to their camp."
So, does Jones-Smith like anyone?
"Not really," he said. "My interest is all the same. I just want to go to a school that fits me best as a student and athlete."
For West Catholic, Jones-Smith earned all-Catholic both ways, all-city defense and all-state defense. He registered 48 tackles, eight for loss, three pass deflections and one interception.
