Two more teams emerge for 4-star OT

Ed Christian is a big offensive tackle prospect from Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes High School. Christian, 6-5 and 280 pounds, committed to Florida State back in the spring but recently decided to open things up. Christian will now visit Auburn and Clemson and would like to check out Alabama and possibly some other schools as well.
"I talked with Alabama before our game on Friday," Christian said. "I would like to get down there for visit. I like the offense there and the coaching staff. Alabama is playing well and I think I fit in pretty well with what they do. They have offered me.

"I am also going to visit Clemson when they play FSU. I have not been out there yet. I like their coaches because they are down to earth guys and they seem to shoot you straight. That's important to me.
"I will visit Auburn (10-16). I like their offense and it seems like it would be exciting to play in that offense. I think they are going to go pretty far this year."
So is Florida State still in the mix for Christian?
"Oh yeah, I am still considering Florida State. I mean I always wanted to play for FSU. Growing up that was my team and they were so close, only thirty minutes away. Florida State football is all I knew when I was younger. Now my eyes are opening up and I am learning about more schools. I have a few teammates there (Greg Reid, Gerald Demps). I am just looking at where I can fit in the best.
"I am open to everyone. I have also recently talked with Florida and Tennessee."
This past Friday Lowndes lost a heartbreaker to Northside Warner Robins, 10-7. Despite the loss, Christian and his teammates are playing well and they have to be ready because they have another monster game this weekend.
"We struggled on offense and finally came around but it was too late. The defense did well. We have to forget about it and be ready for next week. We play Valdosta and that's such a huge rivalry game for me. It's hyped so much."
This season Christian is playing on both sides of the ball, as an offensive and defensive tackle.
"Last season I only played on offense. This year I am in real good shape to do that. I am playing better. My pad level and strength are real good. Run blocking kind of comes natural to me and I have worked hard on pass pro."
Christian says he now bench presses 375, squat 565, and power cleans 310.
