Two more offers roll in for OG Greene

Offers are mounting for Ebensburg (Pa.) Bishop Carroll offensive guard Steve Greene. The 6-foot-4, 302-pounder took visits to two schools this past weekend and walked away with two more offers.
"I already had one offer from Minnesota a month ago and this weekend I made trips to Temple and Connecticut, both offered."

Greene discussed his visits a bit more.
"I went to Temple and it was a nice place. It's in the city and I'm not a big fan of the city," he said. "Then I went to Connecticut on Saturday and toured all of their facilities which are phenomenal. They are beautiful and just recently built. I also met with the coaching staff.
"It was good talking to them. I sat down and watched some film on what they like to do. I sat down with Coach Edsall and he was actually the one that offered me. He handed me the letter."
Greene was impressed with his meeting with Edsall.
"I felt like he was being straight up honest with me, not playing games," he said. "He used the term blowing smoke up your butt."
Where does Greene go from here?
"I have no other visits planned, but I know this summer I'll attend some camps. I'm definitely going to Penn State's."
Penn State continues to be a leader for the Keystone State prospect.
"I've always been a Penn State fan," he said. "They are close to home and I've been up there four or five times. It's in a rural place and it's a college town. Plus, you get to play for a legendary coach in Joe Paterno.
"Out of the offers I have I'm probably favoring Connecticut. Overall I want a college town not in a big city. Academics are important. I want to major in kinesiology which is No. 1 in the nation at Connecticut. That definitely makes them stand out too."
In the meantime, Greene is busy with track.
"I participate in the shot and discuss," he said. "I took first in the discuss in one meet."
