The 2015 four-star running back from Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic, the top-rated recruit in the Oregon state rankings by Rivals.com, has landed new offers from Arizona State and BYU and more interest is coming in.
Landing an offer from the Sun Devils is especially important because his teammate, four-star defensive end Connor Humphreys, is going to ASU next season.
"Even just because they had such a good year they really interest me especially with the offer," Scarlett said. "With Connor going there, he's excited they offered. That definitely plays a role just because people can tell me what it's like there and what it's like to choose a school like that."
The 2015 running back, who finished with 1,640 yards and 22 touchdowns this past season, has landed offers from Arizona State, BYU, Oregon State, Washington State and UC-Davis.
Scarlett said Washington is showing heavy interest and he's planning to head up there in the coming weeks for junior day. There's a chance another offer could be on the way.
"We're going to try to head to junior day at Washington and they've been talking to me a lot, too," Scarlett said. "Hopefully I'll get one from there.
"I've met coach (Chris) Petersen before when he was at Boise State. Every other recruit who knows coach Petersen tells me he's their favorite coach that recruited them. When I met him, he's really cool and really friendly and easy to talk to. He sends me mail and says he's excited to see me."
