Jerrell Priester picked up two more offers over the last few days. Priester, from Allendale (S.C.) Fairfax High School, is a 5-10 and 170 pound athlete on both sides of the ball with terrific speed.
"Vanderbilt and Duke offered me," Priester said. "I like Vandy a lot because they are a program on the rise," Priester said. "I look for them to do big things in the future and that's stands out to me. They are also a prestigious school playing in probably the most prestigious conference in all of college football.
"I also love the coaches. We talk every week and they send me hand written letters in the mail almost every day.
"Duke is a school where I know I can get a great education. They are another program on the rise and I expect big things out of them."
Priester now has options and he feels lucky to be in the position he's currently in.
"I love these offers. I feel so blessed to have offers from schools like Vandy, Duke, and Notre Dame. A degree from anyone of them will go a long way for me."
So does Priester have an early favorite at this time?
"I would say that Notre Dame and Vanderbilt are one and two for me. They are two schools that are really trying to get to know me as a person and they want what is best for me."
Priester can play on either side of the ball but projects best as a cornerback. He now has offers from Notre Dame, Duke, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, and Kentucky.
