Two more offers for Cox

More scholarship offers keeping coming for North Garland (Texas) safety C.J. Cox.
Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Wisconsin were the first three for the 5-foot-11, 192-pound Cox. Over the last week, the versatile prospect added two more while his favorites remain the same.

"I got Rice yesterday and then I got Fresno State last week," Cox said. "I thought it was pretty exciting. I know Rice has a good academic program. I've heard a little bit about Fresno State too."
Nebraska remains on top for Cox with Wisconsin not too far behind. Both schools have definitely caught the eye of this first-team all-district junior.
"I've just been hearing so much about Nebraska since I was a little kid," Cox said. "Watching them play in the national championship and you know that kind of makes you want to get there.
"With Wisconsin, it's their depth chart. I've looked at it and they're going to lose some safeties and I could really get in there to play early."
Cox still plans to make his commitment near his birthday on July 8. However, he's working on setting up an official visit with Wisconsin this fall and could push that back if he doesn't feel he's ready.
"I think around Sept 21 I'm going to probably take an (official) visit to Wisconsin because I have an off-week," Cox said. "I'm going to the Oklahoma camp this summer. It really depends on what comes around with offers. If something comes later, I might have to push my decision back."
As a junior, Cox had 81 tackles, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.
