Two more big offers for junior athlete

Another day means another offer for Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation athlete Brandon McGee. The high school quarterback already held offers from Wisconsin, South Florida and Florida State as both a quarterback and an athlete. Last week, two more big programs got into the mix.
"Rutgers offered me as an athlete," McGee said. "I mean, it's a good school. It's a rising program through the past two seasons. I'm like this: whatever school likes me, I like them."

The Rutgers offer came following an offer from another national power, the Georgia Bulldogs.
"Georgia offered me Thursday," he said. "John Jancek is my recruiter. I'm definitely interested. They offered me as an athlete. They really want me on the defensive side of the ball to play corner."
Though McGee has always maintained that his first choice would be to play quarterback in college, he is beginning to open up to other options. Georgia is certainly one of those options that he is interested in, thanks in part to the coaching staff.
"Me and coach Lilly have a great relationship as well from when he was at Florida State," he said. "I'm gonna stay open. I'm gonna let the schools roll in and let the offers roll in."
The versatile athlete will be on display during the camp circuit this spring and summer and hopes to show off his skills at several different positions.
"I know I'm definitely hitting up the Georgia camp this summer and I'm gonna go up there and work at corner," he said. "I'm going to the go to the UF camp and work at receiver and quarterback at the UF camp."
McGee also competed in the Miami Nike Combine this past weekend where he posted one of the better 40 times at the event.
