Two major offers for Vanderdoes

Eddie Vanderdoes has racked up nearly 40 offers and his latest two are such major programs that neither can go unnoticed.
Florida State and LSU are the newest offers for the four-star defensive end from Placer, Calif., and Vanderdoes said he's especially impressed with both teams.

In recent days, the 6-foot-4, 285-pound standout talked with LSU coach Les Miles and things are definitely looking up for the Tigers.
"I talked to coach (Frank) Wilson on Thursday or Friday and he told me how much they really, really liked me and that they were going after me," Vanderdoes said. "I talked to coach Miles and that's when they offered me and he told me how much they liked me.
"It was great talking to him. He's a great guy and you can tell he's not just feeding me BS. He was talking to me, a really cool guy and he was telling me he really wants me down there to hang out with him and learn more about LSU so that was really cool."
Florida State offered earlier in the week and that's another big one for Vanderdoes, who's rated as the third-best strong-side defensive end and No. 21 overall in the 2013 class by Rivals.com.
"That's another huge offer," Vanderdoes said.
"I like Florida State as well. They have a great program and they have great defensive linemen up front who are big and physical and that style fits me well. They're definitely in high consideration also."
Recently, Vanderdoes said he plans to take official visits to Penn State, Nebraska and Oregon but still is not ready to name the two others. With these two newest offers, both programs could be in contention.
"I'm not sure if I'm going to do a top 10," Vanderdoes said.
"I might line up my five officials and then I'll have other schools I'll consider visiting and then the ones I've already been to. That's kind of how I'm looking at it."
