Two leaders for Carolina LB

Although Forest City (N.C.) East Rutherford prospect Chazeray Jackson is no closer to making a decision, it appears he has at least made a decision as far as which schools he is seriously considering.
“North Carolina State and Wake Forest are my leaders right now, because I think I want to stay in North Carolina," said the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker. "Although that could change.”

Jackson currently has a lone offer from South Carolina, but the rest of the schools he is looking at are still waiting to see film and see how he recovered from a cracked fibula earlier in the season.
At the moment it appears his top five are set in stone. The schools he is planning to visit are NC State, Wake Forest, Clemson, South Carolina and Georgia, all of whom are contacting him regularly. As for when the visits will happen, he said he plans on starting them in the next few weeks in December.
This season the two-star prospect has posted nearly 100 tackles as he has helped East Rutherford to a 9-1 season and to the third round of the playoffs.
“I had an injury, which kind of slowed me down, but I finished out pretty well," he said. “They did pretty well without me and I hope that they will improve on that for next year.”
Most of the schools recruiting Jackson are looking at him for outside linebacker.
Along with waiting on more offers, Jackson is also waiting to hear from coaches who mentioned they would visit him after the season is over, although no in-home visits are scheduled yet.
As for when a decision will be made, he is still looking to see which schools will offer. He expressed an interest in playing early if possible.
