Two lead for junior WR

Andre Davis will be one of the most sought after wide receiver prospects from the Sunshine State for the Class of 2011. Davis, from Tampa Jefferson, had a monster junior season, catching 60 passes for 1,202 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns. Schools have already noticed this wide receiver standout.
"So far I have offers from Florida State, Miami, Purdue, USF, and Central Florida," Davis said. "Right now I would say that FSU and Miami are my top two.

"I like the direction that Florida State is headed. I talked with coach (Lawrence) Dawsey during the playoffs but not since. I like them a lot.
"I have talked with Miami a few times. They were always the school I wanted to play for.
"I am going to try and see them both this spring."
Davis, 6-1 and 180 pounds, also would love to hear from some other schools. He also likes Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, and Oregon State.
Tampa Jefferson lost in the state semi-finals to Pensacola. Davis knows that motivation will not be a problem for he and his teammates this off-season.
"No way. We got so close. I know losing the way we did will be a great motivator for us."
Davis plans on playing baseball and running track this spring. He pitches and plays centerfield for Jefferson. He hit .280 last season as a sophomore.
"Football is my future but I would also love to play college baseball."
