McDonald's visit to Boston College has resulted in an increase of interest from the Eagles.
"I have been talking to Sean Devine from BC a lot since the junior day and I will be going over for a few of the spring practices and the game," said McDonald. "I have been talking to him on the phone a few times and a lot through email, and I'm still receiving letters."
McDonald also enjoyed his first visit to Maryland.
"The coaching staff was great and I really like the offensive line coach," said McDonald. "The facilities were very nice and I'm very interested in Maryland. After the junior day we got to go to the Maryland/UNC basketball game, which was really cool."
The busy schedule will continue for McDonald in the coming months.
"I am going to UMass this Saturday and I have planned to go to a spring practice or game at Wisconsin in mid-April," said McDonald. "I also plan on visiting Temple within the next few weeks or so."
Aside from the visits, McDonald will stay busy in other ways this off-season.
"I have been in the weight room since the season has ended four times a week and I have also been doing a lot of speed and foot quickness drills," said McDonald, who is 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds. "I hope to put on some weight for next season and I also hope to get faster and improve my footwork."
