Petal (Miss.) three-star wide receiver Jesse Jackson is not in a hurry with the recruiting process, but he does have a couple of favorites.

Jackson holds offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Missouri, and Auburn, and camped at all three in-state schools. He is not ready to make a decision, but he does have some favorites as he prepares for his senior season.
"I would say Mississippi State is still on top," Jackson said. "I'm still getting a great vibe from them. Ole Miss is not too far behind. The reason I say that is I think I've been over there twice and I think I have the feel of it but there's nothing like going there over and over and seeing if you get the same feeling. I kind of want to go there a couple of more times to a couple of home games to be around the coaches during that time and see how things work around there."
An Ole Miss visit is not the only trip on the schedule. Before the end of summer Auburn also wanted Jackson to make a visit, but he was unable to squeeze it in before the start of two-a-days. He plans to change that with an official visit in the fall, and he would like to bring 2015 offensive line standout Javon Patterson with him.
"We were trying to make it a home game and get a feel for the atmosphere there, but if not, we're just going to probably make a regular day when we won't have school and things like that," Jackson said.
Another SEC visit is also in the works.
"I think maybe Missouri might be second, but I'm not too sure because we really want to get this Auburn trip first," Jackson said. "But I promised them I was going to make it before the summer ends and things kind of got a little tight with two-a-days and we kind of just ran out of time. We're going to make it up there the first chance we get."
The SEC programs along with Southern Miss are pretty much the only schools being considered right now with Mississippi State and Ole Miss at the top. He is not quite ready to decide, but he does have an idea about when he wants to make his announcement.
"After my season I'll have a decision," Jackson said.
